Finally I can update my blog again after soooooo long. And now I'm back with the new skin care review from one of the best korean skincare called SKIN1004.
BRAND INTRODUCTION
SKIN1004 has starting researching raw material in the oceans, deserts, forests and the world in search of the ideal raw material. They have found the ideal material in the ideal place and extract the most ideal ingredients for your skin.
SKIN1004 studies the raw materials for ingredients to restore skin's originality.
Two weeks ago, they sent me 2 products from the Madagascar Centella Asiatica range. they are the MADAGASCAR CENTELLA AMPOULE & MADAGASCAR CENTELLA AIR FIT SUN CREAM (SPF 50 PA++++)
All products from SKIN1004 are :

- Alcohol free
- No artificial color
- Cruelty free
Now I will explain each product in detail and share my honest review.
1. SKIN1004 MADAGASCAR CENTELLA AMPOULE
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule is 100% made of Centella Asiatica Extract, fresh from the untouched nature of Madagascar that calms and purified the skin.
It's skin irritation test completed.
PACKAGING
This Ampoule has a pretty box packaging with Madagascar forest design.
You can read the product desciption, how to use and the ingredient at the left side both in english and indonesian (sticker label)
There's a picture of the Centella Asiatica leaves at the right side.
And the highlight of the main benefit is written at the back side.
You can read the manufacture and expired date at the bottom.
The box packaging is sealed with transparent sticker with the tag "The gift from the ontouched nature".
Now let's take a look at the Ampoule.
The glass bottle packaging is simple yet look so classy. I firstly though that the ampoule was yellow but it was the bottle. It's in transparent yellow color and it contains 100 ml. Such a very big size for ampoule.
They also wrote the expire date at the bottom of the bottle packaging.
The one that I found very unique is, if you take a look the sticker label from the opposite side, you can see the picture of madagascar forest. And I think that's cool!
This ampoule come with a pipette just like regular ampoule but what made it different is the pipette design at the edge that slightly bend. And I honestly don't know what the benefit of the bended pipette compare to the regular one.
Now let's jump to the ampoule inside.
TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE
The texture of this ampoule is light and watery without any fragrance. But if you spread and massage on the skin, you can feel it's slightly oily. And after few seconds, it absorbed without leaving greasy or oily feeling and you can feel your skin deeply moistened.
PERFORMANCE
I've been using this ampoule twice a day, adding 4-5 drops into my palms then dabbing on my face until it fully absorbs. I apply every morning and night after toner or starting essence then layering with moisturizer.
At the first week, I feel that my skin become more supple and smooth. It feels moist from the inside. And when I used my bb cream, it looks dewy and more flawless, my skin also looks healthier.
After continue using it for 2 weeks, I started to notice that my pores look less visible. My skin hydrated well and look so plump in the morning when I woke up. I didn't experience any break out, purging or irritation since the first time using this ampoule.
I super super love this ampoule coz this is the first product using centella that I can use. I usually have trouble using centella but this one is different.
I will surely put this product into my holy grail skin care list.
PROS & CONS
Pros :
- skin irritation test completed
- no paraben, mineral oil, alcohol, colorant
- moisten & hydrate my dry skin
- doesn't feel greasy or oily
- very light weight and absorbs quickly
- tightened pores
- didn't break me out
Cons :
- glass packaging made it risky to bring for travel

2. SKIN1004 MADAGASCAR CENTELLA AIR-FIT SUN CREAM (SPF 50 PA++++)
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Air-Fit Sun Cream (SPF 50 PA++++) is an ultra light air-fit sun cream with broad spectrum SPF 50 PA++++ for daily protection that contains Centella Asiatica Extract, fresh from the untouched nature of madagascar, to soothe the skin and create a matte finish. It also contains niacinamide to help balance uneven skin tone.
PACKAGING
For the sun cream, the box packaging has the same design as the ampoule, but it's half slimmer.
The cream swatch and highlight of the main benefit is written at the left side.
There's a picture of the Centella Asiatica leaves at the right side and the indonesian translation label of product description, way of use, caution & other detail at the bottom right.
You can read the product description, ingredients, way of use & caution at the back side, written both in english and korean hangeul. And the expired date is printed at the bottom.
The box packaging is also sealed with transparent sticker with the tag "The gift from the ontouched nature".
Now let's take a look at the bottle packaging
This sun cream comes in a very simple white plastic bottle packaging with golden brown screw cap and it contains 50 ml.
I personally love this kind of packaging because it's simple and travel friendly.
Now let's take a look at the cream.
TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE
This sun cream has a greyish white light lotion texture that is lightweight while applied and absorbed into the skin, leaving a supple and moist feeling after absorbed. It didn't leave any white cast which I like. I don't like the type of suncream that leave white cast. It just gives natural brightening effect that made your skin look more glowing and even. It smells like herbal ingredient and I guess it's the scent of the Madagascar Centella as the main ingredient.
This sun cream feels more like a daily moisturizer and comfortable to use. It doesn't feel sticky or heavy.
PERFORMANCE
At the first day of using this sun cream, I got 2 small pimple on my chin which is the most sensitive part of my skin. So I stopped and cured my pimple with acne patch.
2 days after my pimple recovered, I tried to use this suncrean again and it was fine. I even love how it looks on my skin. It's not matte like what it written but it gives natural healthy glow look.
Few day after, I use it together with my bb cream. So i used it under my bb cream.
After few hours, I found another small pimple on my chin. But I wasn't sure whether it's my skin reacted to one of the ingredients or because I layered with my bb cream. Because when I use it without bb cream, my skin was fine.
So in my opinion, maybe it's not suitable to be used together with some product even though both are approved by my skin.
However, I still gonna use this without bb cream coz it's my skin approved. It's quite struggling for me to find a suitable sun cream for my sensitive skin, especially when it has high SPF. Plus I love how it looks on my skin especially after 1 or 2 hours.
PROS & CONS
Pros :
- light weight
- doesn't leave any white cast
- doesn't feel heavy or greasy
- high SPF (extra protection)
- brightened and even my skin
- gives natural healthy glow appearance after 1-2 hours
- travel friendly
- contains no paraben, no alcohol, no mineral oil, no colorant
Cons :
- has quite strong herbal fragrance
- can't be used together with my bb cream
Overall, I rate it : 4/5
