It's been a while since my last post. I've been working in my dance and video project that I have no time to write. I miss writing and now I finally got a time to share about the new essence that I've been adding to my skin care routine recently.
Few weeks ago, I've got a chance to try the new snail essence from one of the new local brand called CURA.
BRAND INTRODUCTION
CURA is a local brand that brought the mix ingredient concept, developing the product with multi benefits with unique and innovative mixture.
They use safe ingredients with no parfume and colorand which is suitable for sensitive skin, combining the natural scent from its mixed ingredients.
The first product they created is Snail Line, focusing in acne scar, brightening and moisturizing your skin.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CURA Snail Purity Essence contains Snail Secretion Filtrate Concentrate, aloe vera extract and Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) which has benefit to brighten and keep your skin in moisture.
This essence helps to maintain skin elasticity and treat rough skin. The Niacinamide can help to brighten and fade acne scar. This product is formulated without alcohol so it's safe to be used everyday.
PACKAGING
This essence comes in a simple broken white packaging box that seems to be eco friendly.
All the information about the product are printed in detail at each side of the packaging box, including product description, direction of use, ingredients, caution, and production & distribution information.
Inside the box, the essence itself packed in a transparent plastic bottle packaging with also a simple design.
They also printed the product information at the back side of the bottle packaging both in english and indonesian language.
They also printed the manufacturing date and expired date of the product at the bottle packaging.
This bottle come with a transparent plastic cap and pump.
TEXTURE AND FRAGRANCE
The essence has a thick gel texture which is different from the snail essence I've ever known. Usually snail filtrate is very sticky and looks like mucus. But this one is quite different. It desn't feel sticky at all. The essence seems like an aloe gel, if you spread the essence, it melts like water and absorbs quickly into your skin without feeling sticky or greasy.
This essence has a very light aloe scent and it's so calming.
HONEST REVIEW
I have a sensitive, dry combination skin with some dark spot and large pore problem. Most of my skin routine use hyaluronic acid and ceramide to boost moisture into dehydration part of my skin. For me personally, I need to add more hydrating essence to keep my skin moist. But I love how this essence feels on my skin while it's applied. It feels soothing and doesn't leave sticky feeling.
After using this essence every night for a week, I can see my skin became a little brighter. But for the dark spot, I still haven't seen any significant result. I believe it takes time so I will need to use longer to prove what it claimed.
My skin is not tolerate snail mucus so I can"t use it often. But compare to other snail products from other brand, this one is the most acceptable since it didn't break me out after a week.
I think if you have normal to oily or oily combination skin, this essence is perfect for your hydration needs. But for dry skin, you need extra moisture.
So overall, I rate this essence 3.5 out of 5
