Since my early 20's, masking has became my beauty ritual every weekend. No matter how many steps you use on your routine, I think our skin still need to be pampered once in a week. Especially after using make up during working days, weekend is a perfect time to spoiled our skin.
Today I'm so excited to share with you all about the new face mask from France that I've been trying recently. This brand is called L'action. I think some of you might already heard about this brand before. Especially if you often visit the Guardian.
2 weeks ago, I was given a chance to try some face mask variant from L'action Indonesia. They sent me the catalogue and let me choose 6 variant over 16 face masks they have. And I was so excited because they all seems very interesting. So I read and decided to chose 6 masks which suitable for normal to dry skin.

Now, let me share three of them first based on my experience. I will give my honest review and before that, I will say that my personal thought might be different from others because we all have different skin type. Without further do, Let's start.
1. L'ACTION MONOI FACE MASK
Hydrating and protective.
Monoi is made by soaking gardenia flowers in coconut oil. Enriched with nourishing coconut oil, Monoi leaves your skin feeling super soft and supple. With every application, its creamy texture and exotic parfume act as an invitation to a Pacific Iceland wonderland.
This mask comes in a sachet with a green and fuscia colour design, and there's a picture of coconut and gardenia flower at the bottom.
The description are written at the back of the packaging. And they are written in 6 different languages.
The ingredient lists, nett, barcode and production information are written at the bottom.
This mask contains 12 gr and each sachet can be used for 2-3 times. It's a wash off type face mask. So based on the direction of used, you need to apply all over your face avoiding eye area, leave it for 12 minutes then wash them off with luke warm water.
This mask has a white lotion like texture and smells like coconut milk. It's very smooth and easy to be spreaded.
Here's how it looks after being applied on my face. I use my finger to spread them off. The texture is lightweight so it didn't appear too white.
After a few minutes, i felt a warm sensation on my skin, since I didn't feel itchy or tingling, it didn't bother me. And in 12 minutes, the mask seems absorbed into my skin because there's no white cast like before.
As you can see, my skin looks clean and tight. I love how my skin felt after masking. This mask didn't hydrate my skin, but it didn't dry it out either. I just feel so refresh, skin feel smoother and clean. It also did calm the red acne scar on my chin.
Based on the description that the function of this mask is for soothing and nourishing, I think it met how it claimed.
So, I rate this 4 out of 5.

2. L'ACTION VITAL HYDRATION FACE MASK
Softens and Revitalizes
This moisturized-based face mask is enriched with cell regenerating essential oils of palmarose, and toning essential oils of sweet orange. Gentle and remineralizing white clay helps eliminate toxins.
This mask comes in a sachet with silver, light blue and purple colour design. There's an picture of oranges at the bottom and a label shown that this mask contains essential oil.
Other detail about the packaging is already explained on the mask I've tried before so I will just show the english description about this mask. Here it is.
It was written that you need to leave for 10-15 minutes, but the description at the front is 12 minutes. So I think it's depend on your skin type. If you have dry skin, maybe you only need to leave it for 10 minutes as it's a mud mask type.
And here's the ingredients.
This mask has a white clay texture which is thicker than Monoi face mask. The scent is very light. I can smell the light orange essential oil only if i snooze it close. This is good for people who are sensitive to fragrance like me. Because if they use strong fragrance, it could irritate my sensitif skin.
Even though this is a clay mask, it's not really sticky and still easy to be spreaded.
Here's how it looks after being applied on my face. I use my finger to spread them off.
After a few minutes, i can feel a warm sensation and my skin feel tightened as this mask started to dry. And it became completely dry after 15 minutes.
You don't need to use warm water for washing this mask. So I washed them off with cold water after it dried. And here's the result.
For this mask which claimed as vital hydration, it doesn't really boost enough hydrating to my skin. However, I didn't feel tight or squeaky after washed them off. Maybe because my skin is very dry so I need to use sheet mask to hydrate my skin.
Somehow, this mask did some good benefit into my skin. I have some small bumps on my chins and this mask can dried them off. This is one of the good point of this mask on me. And the most impotant, it didn't break me out.
Overall, I rate this mask 3.5 out of 5.

3. L'ACTION PEEL OFF MASK
Cleanses and Purifies.
The grapefruit-scented peel-off face mask is enriched with astringent and stimulating cinnamon from Ceylon. It is especially recommended for oily and problematic skin. With its gentle, cleansing and exfoliating action, it will leave your skin looking smooth, soft and refined.
This mask comes in a sachet with silver, light orange and purple colour design. There's an picture of grapefruit and cinnamon at the bottom and a description shown that this is a gel mask type.
Other detail about the packaging is already explained on the first mask I've tried above so I will just show the english description about this mask. Here it is.
And here's the ingredients.
It was written that you need to leave for 10-15 minutes, but the description at the front is 12 minutes. In my experience, it took at least 15 minutes to make the gel will completely dry.
This mask has a transparent gel consistency which is quite thick and sticky (like other peel off mask). Abd it has a really strong grapefruit and alcohol scent. It contains cinnamon but i couldn't smell that cinnamon scent at all.
You need to apply a thin and even layer to the face and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the film by gently pulling it off from the ears towards the nose, and then rinse with clear water.
Here's how it looks after spreading on my face. I applied a medium layer to make it easier to be peeled off. Different from 2 previous mask I've tried before, this mask gives cooling effect. However, the alcohol scent is quite bothering.
This mask took 15 minutes until it completely dried. And here's how it look after dry out. It was like i had a glass skin which actually a dry layer of this gel mask.
Here's how it looks.
The peeled off process was easy and it didn't hurt like other black peel off mask I've ever tried. I felt it pulling all the dirt, death skin cell and a bit of my excessive white head around my nose out. Felt satisfying after. And here's the dried peel off mask look like.
So here's how my skin looked like after peeled those mask off. My face looked more glowing and clean. Pores were tightened a bit and surprisingly this mask didn't dry out my skin although it was formulated for oily skin.
I personally love this peel off mask better than the monoi and vital hydration mask i've tried before. I like how this mask works on what it claimed to be. Cleans and purifies. I just hope they can lessen the alcohol contain so it can be more gentle in formulation.
Overall, I rate this mask 4.5 out of 5.

4. L'ACTION COCOA SOOTHING RITUAL FACE MASK.
For when you need comfort.
Start your session with the orange/cocoa relaxing scrub and follow with the cocoa and shea butter mask to boost hydration and tone.
This mask comes in a sachet that divided into 2 steps. Steps 1 is the scrub and step 2 is the mask. It was designed in orange color and there's a picture of cocoa at the bottom right. This mask is suitable for normal to dry skin.
Other detail about the packaging is already explained on the mask I've tried before so I will just show the english description about this mask. Here it is.
And here's the ingredients.
Let me explain about the scrub first. The scrub comes in a dark chocolate gel texture with sugar size beads. It smells like a dark chocolate but not too strong. I couldn't smell the orange scent though.
If you spread it, you can see the medium sized sugar beads and the gel is quite thick.
I scrubbed my face for about 2 minutes and here's how it look. I suggest you to wet your face first before applying the scrub.
After finished scrubbing, i directly rinsed them off and my skin became sooooo smooth. It didn't dry out my skin at all. But i think I scrubbed too harsh so my skin became a little bit red. 😂😂😂 my bad.
Now here's the mask.
The mask has a pearly white lotion texture and it smells like a butter chocolate. I loveeee this scent so much. It feels relaxing.
The texture is very lightweight and easy to spread. You can see the pearl like glow on it.
Here's how it look after spreading on my face. I felt a little warm few minutes after applying the mask. It felt so relaxing especially with the butter chocolate fragrance. Luv it.
I should leave it for 12 minutes as the direction but i lengthened th time till 20 minutes because I was already addicted to the scent 😂😂😂. And after rinsing them off, here's the result....
Here my face look fresh, brighter and the redness due to harsh scrubbing was fade. I feel my skin became smoother and moist. This is definitely my fave mask. I can use it forever if I could. The scent of the chocolate is addicting. Dunno how many times I mentioned this already 😂😂.
Overall, I rate this mask 5 out of 5.
