REVIEW PURBASARI HI-MATTE LIP CREAM HYDRA SERIES (NEW SHADES) - SPONSORED

Hi everyone,

I have a good news for all lipstick junkies out there. Our popular local make up brand Purbasari has launched the 6 new shades of Hi-matte Lip Cream. Who's excited? I do. 😍😍😍

I've shared about the first 5 shades of Purbasari Hi-Matte Lip Cream in my previous post last year and I love them especially shade no 01 - VINCA and 04 - ZINNIA. 

And last week, I received a box again from Purbasari Indonesia in collaboration with Surabaya Beauty Blogger containing the new shades which made me soooo excited. 😍😍😍. Here it is.

Inside the box, there are 6 new shades of Purbasari Hi-Matte Lip Cream. So they continue the color series and still with the same packaging box design.

PACKAGING
This lip cream comes in a black matte packaging box with the small diagonal peeking hole at the right side so you can directly see the shade from the lip container inside. I love this minimalist design.

The ingredient list is printed on the left side of the packaging box and the caution & production information are printed at the back including the production code, exp date and product nett.

You can also see the BPOM barcode and the color shade code printed in a sticker label that sealed the top of this packaging box.

Now let's jump into the lip container inside.
Still with the same packaging shape and design, this lip cream come in a transparent rectangular plastic container with a black screw cap.

This is what made Purbasari Hi-Matte Lip Cream different from other. They have rectangular container shape while normally other brand has cilindrical shape for this kind of lip product. It's actually a smart idea to avoid the product rolling and fall down from the table.

And I also love the idea of the transparent packaging. It made us easier to know directly the real shade of the lip cream without swatching. Especially if you want to buy online, this container design really helps.

TEXTURE & SCENT
Purbasari Hi-Matte Lip Cream has a thick creamy texture with a matte finish. If you have dry lips, i suggest you to use lip balm before using this lip cream to make it easier to glide on.

It contains Vit E and UV filter and has a sweet fruity candy scent that will disappear few seconds after application.

Although they have thick creamy texture, this lip cream feels lightweight on my lips. And it doesn't dry out my lips.

SHADES, SWATCHES & COLOR PIGMENT
So here are the 6 new shades of Purbasari Hi-Matte Lip Cream. The color code are written at top of the packaging box and also at the bottom of the lip container.

They are :

●  07 ~ VIOLA
●  08 ~ LUNARIA
●  09 ~ IXIA
●  10 ~ AYANNA
●  11 ~ MAGNOLIA

Here is the swatches...

For the pigment, I can say the first 3 shades (Dahlia, Viola, Lunaria) are more pigmented than the rest 3. The color could instantly pop up just by one application.

For the last 3 (Ixia, Ayanna, Magnolia), they go differently as you need to apply 2 layers to achieve a fully opaque finish. So they are more like buildable type. And I think 3 of them have almost similar tone.

PERFORMANCE & LASTING POWER
This lip cream according to the product name, it performs a matte finish. If you have dry lips and you directly use it without lip balm, it may look a bit patchy. However, this product is pretty pigmented.

This is not a color stay lipstick so it transfers a bit. It will stain on your glass when you drink. But the remaining pigment could stay quite long without reapplying. So i can say this product has medium staying power.

LIP SWATCHES
Here's the lips swatches.

For the lip swatches, I will explain each one separately in detail.

Shade 06 ~ DAHLIA
Dahlia has an orange red shade which is the most pigmented conpare to others. This shade is suitable for glamour make up or colourful party. It represents fearless women.

Shade 07 ~ VIOLA
Viola has a pink berry tone. This is such a pretty shade for romantic event such as date night or valentine's party. It represent feminine or girly.

Shade 08 ~ LUNARIA
Lunaria has a coral tone and it's a kind of nude color. It's also the lightest tone from this color shades. This shade represents calm and natural. Suitable for daily used or casual occasion.

Shade 09 ~ IXIA
Ixia has a mauve tone. This is my favourite shade from this series. It's an earth color and can match many occasion. It represent independent or career women. Suitable for office look, lunch date, hang out with friends, etc.

Shade 10 ~ AYANNA
Ayanna has an orange brown tone. The pigment is rather buildable. To be honest, this is ny un-favourite shade from this series because it doesn't match my skin tone. But I think this shade is suitable for formal look.

Shade 11 ~ MAGNOLIA
Magnolia has a dark red to chocolate tone. And it's also buildable. This is the darkest shade from this series. It's perfect for everyone who loves bold color. This shade is suitable for a glamour look and represents elegance and classy.

CONCLUSION
After trying this Hydra Series Hi-Matte Lip Cream, here's my pros & cons.

Pros :
~ pigmented
~ lightweight
~ contain vit E & uv protect
~ didn't dry out my lips
~ nice scent
~ affordable


Cons :
~ transfer
~ looks patchy without lip balm
~ contain paraben

Overall, I rate it 4 out of 5.
