CHICA Y CHICO SKIN TEXTURE TONER REVIEW

I'm back again after my last post about my June empties products. There I was sharing about my previous toner that i really love. Whamisa organic toner (original). That toner does make my skin become supple and free from dryness and tacky.

And after finished Whamisa, i decided to try another toner from another korean brand which is quite popular recently with their skin care product. It's Chica Y Chico Skin Texture Toner. I got this toner from the Althea total brightening box last month. So here it is.

Let me start from the packaging box. The packaging box is very simple and minimalist. It has english description at the front of the packaging box, and the hangeul description at the back.

The design is exactly the same between the packaging box and the packaging bottle.

There's an english description written :

Chica Y Chico - Skin texture toner
Skin texture toner hydrate the rough skin and give more elasticity with sliding water complex so that your skin looks even and moist
And it removes the excess sebum and waste deep inside, clear up the dry flaky dead skin cells without irritation.
Your skin becomes smoother and clearer with this toner.

What makes this toner different is the bottle caps. Usually toner comes with turning cap (or whatever it called 😂). But this one, it comes with press button like a bottle that used for hand sanitizer packaging. It's quite rare to be used for a toner. However, i think it's not a really big deal as long as it keeps my toner from leaking.

The texture of this toner is watery and not sticky like my previous one. But it's a little bit thicker than the sk II facial treatment essence. Here the texture looks like

It has watery texture with no scent at all. And i love any kind of product without fragrance because i'm allergic to that. So i give this toner a thumb up for the formula.

I've been using this toner for 3 weeks and i really love the effect on my skin. This toner not only hydrate my skin but also gives my skin a natural glow after it absorbed.

Compare to whamisa organic toner, if you have really dry skin, this might not work as well as whamisa to cure your dryness. But if you have normal to dry skin, this toner is perfect.

Sometimes when i felt my skin is dry or lack of water, i use this toner for 7 steps skincare by layering it on my skin for 7 times. And it really works wonder after i woke up in the morning.

Here I have my pic while using this toner for korean 7 steps skincare.

The picture above showing how my skin before using toner, and the right one is after using 3 layers of this toner. You can see that this toner quickly absorbed into my skin and didn't look greasy or heavy. It directly gives the glowing effect but not over glow.
Now let me show you another picture after using 7 layers.

Usually i take some times after 3 layers before continue another layer to make the toner fully absorbed. I didn't use a cottonpad but directly put into my palm and dab it into my face until it fully absorbed.

And finally here's how my skin looks like directly after using 7 layers of this toner.

You can see my skin became supple, feel like drink up and hydrated well. Actually my skin is not as perfect as it shown. It's due to the lighting i guess.

Without further say, here's the result in the morning after 7 steps korean skin care using this toner.

Usually the air conditioner does make my skin dry and dehydrated. But i try to regularly practising this 7 steps skin care twice a week. And i can see the difference on the texture of my skin. I'm gonna show my imperfect skin but much better by zooming out the picture.

In this picture above you can see that my skin is not flawless. But by practising this method, i feel it does help my skin drink up and hydrated enough.

So after all, here's my final thought about this toner

Pros :
~ fragrance free
~ watery texture, easy to absorbed
~ hydrated my normal to dry skin
~ alcohol free
~ give natural glow after absorbed
~ simple packaging bottle
~ great for 7 steps korean skin care method

Cons
~ non so far

Anyway, if you ask which one is better between this toner an whamisa, i will say it depend on the condition of your skin. If your skin feel really dry, i guess whamisa will cure more quickly. But if your skin just normal to dry and just need extra water, this chica y chico would be a perfect choice. Especially for sensitive skin like mine.

A'PIEU AIR FIT CUSHION BBOYAN SPF 50+/PA+++ FIRST IMPRESSION

Today I'm back again with another first impression of bb cushion that I got from Althea total brightening box last month. It's A'pieu Air Fit Cushion Bboyan SPF 50+/PA+++. 

First, i'm gonna show you the packaging box of this bb cushion.

It comes in a glossy silver packaging box. All descriptions are writen in hangeul. Except for the shade is writen in english. But i found the english description from the althea website. I will share them below.

Now i'll jump into the cushion compact. 

The compact is also designed in glossy silver color that make it looks luxurious. It almost like a mirror glass. And need some effort to take the picture so that the words on it will look visible 😥😥😥

Now I'm gonna open the compact and check inside.

Just like other bb cushion, this one also comes with a mirror, cushion puff & sealed neatly. There's some hangeul on the sticker seal. I have no idea what it means so i will just leave it untranslated. 😁😁😁

I got the shade apricot from the Althea total brightening box. Here's the shade looks like.

If i look at the shade, it seems too dark for my skin tone. But they claimed it has instant brightening effect, so we'll see. I'm gonna try using this cushion on my face.

So here's my bare face. I only use my regular skincare. And today i use skII facial treatment essence for the starter, continue with chica y chico skin texture toner (i will review this on my next post) and my super holy grail moisturizer Dr. Jart ceramidin liquid. 

Now i'm gonna use it on half of my face like i usually did to let you know the difference.

That's how it looks. You can see my right side looks brighter, radiant & dewy. Now i will use it all over my face and show the before after picture. Here it is.

So from that picture above, you can see my face become more brighter and sleek. It has dewy finish and pretty comfortable.

After i leave it for 3 hours, here's the result.

Finally after trying this bb cushion, here's my first impression.

Honestly i don't really like this bb cushion. It does feel watery and light weight but it isn't easy to blend like other cushion i've tried before. It transfered easily. So if you just put your finger, the cushion will stick to your finger and cause a mess on your covered face. 

Even if i use the cushion puff, some of it, especially the side of my nose will transfer back to the cushion and i need to re-apply it.

It has good oil control. Even after 3 hours it looks slightly the same as first application. But i felt a bit itchy after using this cushion for 3 hours, that's why i didn't wait longer to erase it. I'm afraid it will break out my sensitive skin.

I don't say this product cause break out, but i think i'm allergic to one of the ingredient inside so my skin reacted. However, this cushion looks good especially in brightening my skin and cover acne scar. It's just more suitable for normal to oily skin in my opinion.

So after all, here's my pros and cons.

Pros :
~ good brightening effect
~ pretty light weight
~ covers acne scar and dark spot
~ has SPF 50+/PA+++
~ makes my face looks radiant & dewy
~ very good oil control

Cons :
~ quite hard to blend
~ easily transfered
~ cause itchy after 3 hours
~ not suitable for my dry sensitive skin

I rate this 3 out of 5.

MY JUNE 2017 EMPTIES

Holiday is over and i hope u had a wonderful holiday. Today, I'm gonna share about my June empties product that I use as my daily skin care and make up routine.

Actually i don't really use many skin care brand. I'm quite faithful to a product if i feel that my sensitive skin accepted it. But i decided to make this post because this month, they ran out all together. Quite sad considering my monthly skincare budget, but glad that finally i can make this post. It's gonna be my first monthly empties blog. 😍😍😍

So I have total 7 products that i'm gonna share in detail. 5 of them are my daily skin care routine and the rest are my daily make up routine. Without further do, let's start. Here they are....

The first empty product is Bioderma Micellar Water (for sensitive skin).

I've been using this product for a year and i think this is the best micellar water i've ever tried. It soothe my skin, didn't try out nor irritate my sensitive skin and it clean the left over residue perfectly after i use my cleansing oil. I've gone for 5 bottles and will continue purchasing this product.

The second empty product is Paula Choice Skin Perfector 2% BHA Liquid.

This is a daily exfoliating treatment that I can use whenever my skin needed. I used to use this everynight and day but it made my skin became red due to over exfoliate. So I only use it twice a week at night now.

I use it by taking few drops in a cottonpad, swipe all over my face and wait for 20 minutes before using my daily skincare routine.

It helps exfoliate my dead skin cell, blackhead, tightened my pores and makes my skin more glowing and radiant after using. I love this product so much, it suite my sensitive skin & helps cure break out. I've gone for 3 bottle and will definitely repurchase.

The third empty product is SK II Facial Treatment Essence.

This is the first treatment essence that I use day and night for anti aging treatment. My super holy grail skin care that I've been using for 3 years. I guess i don't need to describe much about this product because this has been everyone's holy grail.

This product has been taking a good care of my skin. It protect my skin from dryness, dull and helps balancing my skin Ph level. I can't go a day without it. This is a pricey product but totally worth the price.

I use it by putting some drops into my palm and dab into my skin until it totally absorbed. Absolutely I will repurchase forever 😍😍😍

The forth empty product is Whamisa Organic Flower Toner (original)

I got this toner from Althea box and I directly fell in love with it. This is a hydrating toner type with natural organic ingredient. It hydrate my skin and makes my skin more supple.

It has herbal scent but didn't irritate my skin. I practising 7 steps korean routine using this toner and my skin feels amazing. I will repurchase this but not for the moment since I still have a new toner to try from Chica Y Chico.

But if that one didn't suit my skin, I will go back to this whamisa organic flower toner. I'm curious to try the other varian, the deep rich one. So we'll see.

The fifth empty product is Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid.

This is my all time favourite moisturizer that I've been using for years. I've tried many kind of moisturizer from many brands but nothing beats this one.

This is a liquid type moisturizer containing ceramide that's very good for dry and dull skin. It moisturize without feeling greasy and it didn't feel sticky no matter how many times i re-apply. And of course it's suitable for sensitive skin.

I've gone for more than 15 bottles already and will keep on repurchase. Hopefully this product will never discontinue. And I hope Dr. Jart company reading this post and sponsored me for being very loyal to this. Lol 😂😂😂 in my dreams.

Ok let's jump into the make up routine empties.

The sixth empty product is still from Dr. Jart brand. It's Dr. Jart Black Label Nourishing BB Cream (SPF 30 PA++).

This is my all time favourite BB cream that I use daily if I go out of the house. I really love the texture, the shade really suite my skin tone and how smooth it goes on my skin.

This product has change its design and packaging few times but still with same ingredient. If it changes, they only increased the SPF level, which is good.

This bb cream gives my skin a natural glow without feeling greasy or dry. It suitable for normal to dry and sensitive skin like mine. I've also tried many different bb cream from different korean brand, but this one is still my favourite. Repurchase? YES!!!

Now the seventh and the last empty product is ESME Translucent Loose Powder by Erha.

When it came to face powder, it's quite hard for my skin to cope with. I've tried many powder, either loose or compact, and i usually end up with break out. Until one day while travelling, I forgot to bring my loose powder and i used this one that my mom's been using for years.

Surprisingly it stayed good on my skin. It didn't break me out nor dry out my skin. And the particle is very smooth. The price is also very reasonable, less than 100K. So since then, i purchase this one and list it on my make up routine.

This powder is a loose type in translucent or transparent color, so it doesn't make your skin look pale or too white. I love this so far and will continue repurchase.

So that's all my empties product for June. I hope it can help anyone with skin condition like mine to try. My skin is normal to dry sensitive acne prone skin. I'm allergic to soap, alcohol, fragrance and mineral oil. But all those product i mentioned above has been taking care of my skin so well.
