Hi everyone,

Lately I've been having many make up playdate and store visit. And I found myself became more addictive to make up since then. It such finding a new playground and that was so excited.

And today, I wanna share my review about matte lipstick and eye shadow that I got during store visit at Absolute New York in Ciputra World Mall last week.

Absolute New York Indonesia has a collaboration with Surabaya Beauty Blogger. And as a member, I was given a voucher gift which can be exchanged with one eye artiste single shadow and one lip matte stick on my own choice.

So I went to the store and start swatching all the eye shadow and lip matte colour. Until finally I decided to choose these two babies to bring home. Yayyyy....

I'm gonna share about this product separately started from the eye shadow first.

ABSOLUTE NEW YORK EYE ARTISTE

For the eye shadow, I picked the Absolute New York Eye Artiste in shade AEAS17 - ORBIT

Thos travel friendly single eye shadow is packed in a glossy black packaging box with a square hole at the front side to show the shadow colour. All the description at the packaging box are printed in white. The description said that this is a micronized pigmens. Layers on & blends out effortlessly.

At the back side of the packaging box, you can see some information about this product, including the ingredient list and manufactured information. The expired date and distribution information are writen in a small white sticker label that sticked at the bottom left.

I'm gonna type the information below so you can read clearly what it writen.

Superior shadows that deliver incredible color, coverage, and long-lasting wear, to help create an endless array of the eye looks. They also has french translation after.

Ingredients :
Talc, Mica, Nylon-12, Magnesium Stearate, Dimethicone, Hydrogenated Polyisobutebe, Polybutene, Bis-Diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tin Oxide

And one information at the bottom right which a good poin is claimed that this product is Cruelty Free.

The shade information is writen at the top. It's AEAS17-ORBIT

Now let's take look at the product packaging inside.

This eyeshadow is packed in a glossy black plastic packaging with transparant plastic showing the eyeshadow color. It looks classy and pretty.

The shade and nett information is also printed at the sticker label and sticked at the back side.

I'm gonna open it and let you you know the shade in more clearer. Here it is....

This is a type of shimmer eye shadow in silver shade. I picked this one to create smoky eyes. Actually i was confuse to decide between this shade and sugar plum. Both are pretty and pigmented enough. But then I decided to pick Orbit. Wish I could have both. LOL 😂😂😂

Now I'm gonna swatch and blend it on my hand. Let's check it out.

It pops an ashy shimmering silver colour that really smooth and easy to blend. The shimmer is not so you don't have to worry about looking too spark during day time or casual occasion. 

Now with this eye artiste from absolute new york, I'm gonna create a smokey eye make up look. And here's the result.

I'm pretty amazed with how this eye shadow performed. I thought the colour will be silver but this one has a 3 dimension effect that will look like a pretty glamour and mysterious ashy blue. I Only use this and another darker eyeshadow color, and the result was amazing. 😍😍😍

So, after playing with this, here's my pros and cons.

Pros :

~ has pretty shimmer

~ pigmented

~ gave 3D effect

~ travel friendly

~ cruelty free

~ beautiful packaging

Cons :

~ non so far

Overall, I rate this 5 out of 5 because I don't find any weakness of it. I super love the color and grateful that I made a right decision about choosing the color.

Now let's jump into the other one.

ABSOLUTE NEW YORK LIP MATTE STICK

The second product I wanna share and review is their matte lipstick in shade LATTE. This one is definitely my fave color. I'm more into a nude colour and this colour really match my skin tone.

This lipstick doesn't come with a packaging box, but it's perfectly wrapped with plastic. 

The ingredient list are printed in a white sticker label and sticked at the back. I'm gonna write down all the ingredient list at the label.

Ingredients :

Tridecy Trimellitate, Ceresine, Bees wax, Polymethyl Methacylate, Ethythexyl Palmitate, Silicon Dioxide, DL-A-Tocopheryl Acetate, Lecithin/Polyhydroxystearic Acid/2-Ethylhexyl Palmitate/Isopropyl/Mysristate/Isostearic Acid/Polyglyceryl-3Polyricinoleate, Propylparaben

And just like other lipstick, the shade information is printed at the bottom. 

I will unwrap the plastic first so you can see it clearer.

This lipstick comes in a doff black plastic packaging with white letter printed on it. I love the font they used for the word Matte.

The color shade is shown at the top of the lipstick cap. 

Now I'm gonna open this cap. Here it is.

This is a classic lipstick type. There are so many matte lipstick nowadays that come in liquid form. For me, I prefer this classic type. Look at that pretty nude colour. Luv luv luv it so much. 

Now it's time for a swatch. I wil swatch it on my hand and show you the real shade. Here it is.

The color is such a nude maple tone, the tone between orange and brown. And this lipstick glides on smoothly on my hand. For a matte type lipstick, this one is moisturizing enough. This is a good point since usually a matte lipstick is a bit dry and patchy. 

Here's how it looks on my lips.

With this lipstick, I'm gonna make my own nude make up for a daily look. Here's my creation.

This is definitely the color that suit my daily make up. And this lipstick doesn't feel dry at all on my lips. So, here's my pros & cons about this matte lipstick.

Pros : 

~ moisturizing

~ pigmented

~ affordable

~ glide smoothly upon application

~ easy to be be cleaned

Cons :

~ stain on glass

~ doesn't come with a packaging box

~ low lasting power

Overall, I rate this 4 out of 5.

I don't complain with its low lasting power actually, due to the moisturizing effect. Well, at last, I'm satisfied with both product.

MOOD MATCHER COLOR CHANGING LIPSTICK FIRST IMPRESSION (SPONSORED)

One of their popular product which I'd like to review today is Mood Matcher 12 Hours Color Changing Lipstick.

This lipstick can last until 12 hours. It contains aloe vera & vitamin E to protect your lips from dryness.
It has 10 colour variant which can changed into different colour depend on body chemistry or lip's ph level. So the result can be different on each person.

This lipstick is claimed to be :
~ kiss proof
~ smudge proof
~ fade proof

Some benefit of this product are :
~ last for 12 hours
~ doesn't darkened your lips
~ doesn't dried out your lips
~ doesn't fade after you eat or drink, even after you swim
~ keeps your lips moisture

This product has been sold 25 million all around the world including Indonesia.

So without further say, let's see whether this lipstick proved what it said.

I got a chance to try two colour of this lipstick series, so I decided to choose the pink and dark blue. Here they are.

If you notice that the packaging is different, it was because I got an old packaging for the dark blue colour. The new packaging is like the pink one (left side).

Now I'm gonna share each of them separately. Let's start from the older packaging in shade Dark Blue.

DARK BLUE

The old packaging is a glossy black plastick packaging with gold stripe in the middle and transparent cap. The words Mood Matcher and all the information about ingredients are printed in gold.

There's a white sticker label that sealed the lipstick in vertical line with a barcode with the colour shade writen on it. If you unsealed, you can see all the ingredient list behind where the label was sticked.

Now let's open the caps and see the colour.

It has a clear dark blue colour which is so pretty 😍😍😍. I'm gonna swatch it on my hand and see what colour will pop.

Taraaaaaa....

It's light purple at the first swatched, and after a few minutes, the purple became darker.

I'm gonna put on my lips and see what color is gonna pop up. Here it is.....

On my lips, the colour looks different compare to the swatch on my hand. There's such purple tone but it's not as dark as i thought. And I love this colour. It match with my blue outfit.

Now let's see the other shade.

PINK

For the pink one, the packaging looks more classy than the old one. It comes in a black plastick packaging with black caps, and some transparant part in the middle. The words Mood Matcher is printed in silver.

There's also a sticker label with barcode and colour shade that sealed the lipstick like the old packaging, but the label colour is black. The different part is on the sticker label.

If you unsealed, the the ingredient list is written at the back of the sticker label, not at the plastic packaging like the old one.

For me personally, I prefer a product that showed the ingredient list so I could directly read before decided to buy. But for this, I can't deny that the new packaging looks better and more simple.

Now let's open and see the colour.

It's a beautiful soft pink that I guess perfect for daily make up. Let's swatch it on my hand first before trying on my lips.

At the first swatch, the colour that pop is really soft and pale, but after a few minutes it became slightly darker.

I hope I didn't pick the wrong colour. It seemed a bit too pale for my lips. But I'm gonna try it now. Here it is....

For this shade, the colour on my lips also different compare to the swatch on my hand. It wasn't pale as i thought but it turned into a fresh lovely pink colour. And I supeeeeer love this colour. ❤❤❤

So after trying both of them, here's my conclusion.

This lipstick series basically has the similar tone such as fresh pink, going darker into hot pink, fuscia and purple pink. It depend on our lip's ph level and also our basic lip tone. It has a great moisturizing effect and doesn't dry out my lips although I wear it all day. It also has a very good lasting power so I don't need to re-apply over and over again even after eating & drinking. The basic tone of this lipstick, the pink one, will stay all day.

One suggestion I can give is, never swatch it on your hand and hope the colour will be as you see. Swatch directly on your lips so you won't go into wrong shade.

And as always, here's my pros & cons.

~ doesn't stain on glass
~ glossy look
~ didn't dry out my lips
~ affordable price

Cons :
~ hard to be cleaned even with make up remover
~ has a very few tone
